STEVE KELLY
Senior Engineer
Steve has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Louisiana Tech University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University. Over the past 32 years, Steve has developed extensive experience managing all phases of industrial hazardous and nonhazardous Class I injection well installations. He has typically been involved with a project from inception to completion and has actively managed all aspects of a project, including interaction with regulatory authorities through the permitting and no-migration petitioning processes. Many of Steve’s projects require the careful integration of oil and gas service companies with the unique work culture found in chemical and petrochemical plants. Besides new well construction, Steve has also worked on developing and implementing plans to troubleshoot and repair wells with either injectivity or mechanical integrity issues. Steve has also managed the installation of many solution mining and hydrocarbon storage cavern wells, and these projects have involved the management of multi-well installations.
Before managing well projects, Steve worked for more than 13 years with a major service company providing geophysical services to the oil and gas industry. He has worked in Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Michigan and Pennsylvania in increasingly responsible positions in the areas of engineering, marketing and management. This experience has allowed Steve to achieve a high degree of expertise analyzing and interpreting all types of geophysical data. The geographic diversity of Steve's background has given him experience with all types of geological environments and numerous well completion designs.
Steve’s special areas of competence include troubleshooting difficult well problems and implementing effective solutions. His project management skills and ability to communicate with field personnel have allowed him to successfully manage a number of high-profile projects simultaneously.
